Where We Started
In 1992, Mark Maselli took a leap of faith and embarked on an evening venture, starting his ice cream truck business in West Philadelphia's Overbrook neighborhood. Operating after his 9-5 sales job, he sold ice cream and frozen novelties to many people who became friends, discovering a passion he truly loved.
After relocating to Massachusetts in 1996 and marrying his wife, Lilia, they both assumed ownership of Dandilyons in Reading, Massachusetts, in February 2002. From the streets of Overbrook to the storefront in Reading, they've consistently displayed their entrepreneurial spirit and unwavering commitment to sharing joy through ice cream.
As a small, family-owned business, Dandis prioritizes delivering top-notch customer service, high-quality products, and an exceptional experience for all. Our pride lies in our guests, getting to know them, and always ensuring the best experience possible. Building connections with our customers daily is invaluable to us, shaping the heart of our business. That is where the real magic lies.
